IMeBIO is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded the contract to supply a BSL-2 container laboratory to be delivered to the Sultanate of Oman.
This state-of-the-art laboratory will be installed at the Central public health laboratories in Muscat, Oman, enhancing their capabilities in research and development, particularly concerning polio.
The BSL-2 laboratory will be constructed in an extra-wide 40-foot container, featuring a total area of 40m² strategically divided into 4 rooms:
- Room 1: Reception, main entrance, and an emergency airlock.
- Room 2: Sample processing room.
- Room 3: Sample inoculation room.
- Room 4: Technical room.
Additionally, the laboratory will be fully equipped with advanced tools and technology, including a BSC Class II, an autoclave, freezers and refrigerators, a pass box, a microscope, and a centrifuge, ensuring comprehensive readiness for all research and development activities.
Designed to facilitate optimal workflow and efficiency for scientific operators working inside. It’s a leap forward for research and public health in Muscat, boosting capabilities and driving innovation for a healthier future!
