From December 1st to 4th 2025, IMeBIO took part in EDEX 2025 – Egypt Defence Expo, the fourth edition of Egypt’s leading defence and security exhibition. Held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo, EDEX has become a major global meeting point for defence, security, and strategic innovation.
Launched in December 2018, the exhibition rapidly gained international recognition, earning the Best Trade Show Award at the MEES Awards in Dubai (2019) and the Best International Event Award at the EN Awards in the United Kingdom the same year. With more than 400 exhibitors and delegations from over 25 countries, EDEX offers a unique platform where governments, armed forces, technology providers, and industry leaders explore cutting-edge solutions for land, sea, and air defence.
Present at Hall H2 – Stand H2-B25, IMeBIO, together with our strategic partner Ashmand, showcased its expertise in mobile and modular biocontainment laboratories, designed for maximum flexibility and rapid deployment in any environment. Visitors experienced our virtual reality lab simulation, allowing them to see firsthand how the systems work in practice. From field operations to remote locations, our containerized BSL-2 and BSL-3 laboratories provide reliable, fully equipped infrastructures that can be installed quickly and operated safely under challenging conditions.
EDEX 2025 was an excellent opportunity for IMeBIO to engage with decision-makers and demonstrate how modular biocontainment solutions can strengthen national preparedness and security while adapting to a wide variety of operational contexts.
